Raised in Port Townsend, I have lived the experiences of our working families firsthand. Growing up, my mother was a public health official and my father was a shipwright. Now, I am a dad myself, and the proud husband of a public school teacher. Like my parents before me, I am dedicated to the dream of raising a family in Port Townsend. That said, the community of my childhood—affordable, multigenerational, family-friendly—has lost ground to increasing costs of living and an ever-evolving set of priorities in local government.
Now, more than ever, I see the need for someone to champion the hopes and dreams of Port Townsend's working families and the small businesses that serve them. They are our friends and neighbors. And, they deserve a dedicated voice in the conversation. With your support, I aim to become that voice.
